Concurrent Control for Three-Phase Four-Wire Five Levels E-Type Inverter for Microgrids

This paper deals with a concurrent control strategy for the three-phase four-wire five-level E-Type Inverter (3 Phi 5L E-Type Inverter). The proposed control has a parallel architecture and it is analyzed, implemented and verified with reference to microgrids. Analysis and characteristics of the 3 Phi 5L E-Type Inverter are described. The proposed control strategy has been implemented using the repetitive controller plus the proportional-integral controller, which allow to adjust the output voltage and the output current in case of either short-circuit or overcurrent conditions. The control strategy has been tested using the co-simulation capabilities offered by National Instruments Multisim and LabVIEW FPGA in order to evaluate its effectiveness and performances.
