Compact Band-Notched Uwb Antenna Based On Csrr For Wimax/Wlan Applications

A compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with double notched bands is presented and analyzed in this paper. By inserting rectangular ground plane with circular bevels, tapered microstrip feeding line, and the complementary split resonator (CSRR) on the hexagonal radiating patch, the proposed antenna has covered the bandwidth requirement of UWB frequency band of 2.7-16.9GHz (VSWR<2) and also has obtained two notched bands of 3.3-3.7GHz and 4.6-5.9GHz for rejecting WiMAX and WLAN communication systems, respectively. In addition, the influence of the dimension of the CSRR on the band-notched performance is simulated and analyzed. The simulated current distribution, radiation pattern, and gain characteristics of the proposed antenna indicate that the antenna has stable performance and wide application background.
