摘要

•A rapid, precise LC-MS/MS assay for creatinine has been developed.•The method is applicable to serum and saliva and uses a small sample volume.•Glucose and bilirubin interfere in the colorimetric Jaffe creatinine assay.•No interference was observed in the LC-MS/MS method.•This assay could be useful for routine clinical use.
