摘要
The present work experimentally demonstrates the differences in performance characteristics and end emission trends between diesel, KOME Blend B20, and KOME Blend B20 with various flow rates of hydrogen-initiated dual-fuel-operated VCR diesel engine. A series of tests were carried out at variable injection pressures (200, 220, and 240 bar) and different compression ratios (15, 16, 17, and 18) of the performance and emission characteristics. Increasing BTE and decreasing SFC with mounting CR from 15 to 18 with injection pressure from 200 to 220 bar and at 240 bar get reversed. Blending CO, CO2, and UHC opacity at 220 bar IOP with 18 CR for B20 + 15 lpm is found to release radically lower concentration and also NOx emissions decreased to some extent for all test blends of B20 and B20 with a hydrogen flow rate when compared to the pure diesel.
