摘要
Persistent organic pollutants such as pharmaceutical residues, often withstand treatment by conventional water treatment methods. However, plasmas generated directly in water have shown to effectively decompose these compounds and are a promising new approach. So far, research conducted on this topic, has primarily focused on the application of positive micro- to millisecond high voltage pulses and on associated degradation rates. Sub-microsecond pulses, possible effects due to electrode material and detailed degradation pathways, however, received little to no attention.
