Religion’s work ethics believed can influence how employers or employees react to certain situation or condition in workplace. This study attempts to investigate the relationship between Islamic work ethics and organizational commitment in engineering profession setting. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed with simple random sampling approach to engineers in various engineering fields in Melaka, Malaysia. IBM SPSS Statistics version 22 was used for analyzed descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings showed that affective commitment and normative commitment demonstrate positive and significant relationships with Islamic work ethics. In contrast, continuance commitment presents a negative and non-significant correlation with Islamic work ethics in engineering profession setting.
