High Andean moor is a fragile tropical ecosystem that has the important function of regulating water resource, vital for all species (IAVH, 2007). Colombia is one of six countries where this ecosystem is, whit a coverage of 2.5% in its land area (Leon, Jimenez & Marin, 2015). However, different productive activities - such as extensive agriculture, mining and ranching-have caused changes that alter its natural balance (IAVH, 2007).
