Kinetics of nebivolol and its active metabolite after single dose oral administration of nebivolol

A pharmacokinetic study of nebivolol and its active metabolite (4-hydroxy-nebivolol) after single dose oral administration of nebivolol to 20 healthy volunteers was realized. The representative pharmacokinetic model involves first order absorption kinetics for nebivolol with pre-systemic metabolism, first order systemic metabolism and bicompartmental distribution for nebivolol and its metabolite. By using this model, the most important pharmacokinetic parameters were further calculated.
