El galio en el diagnóstico y seguimiento del síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida (SIDA)

A case of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) complicated by Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia is presented. It started with fever and slight pulmonary symptoms. Chest roentgenograms were normal initially. The intense uptake ofGallium (67Ga) in the lungs facilitated early diagnosis and treatment. W e therefore recommend the use of 67 Ga in the follow-up of these patients.
