摘要
•A three dimensional, non-porous, monodisperse model catalysts has been developed.•The model catalyst, (Fe on SiO2) has been tested during industrial Fischer-Tropsch synthesis conditions.•The addition of a Mn promoter increases Fe-catalyst stability and influences reaction selectivity.•Exhaustive catalyst characterization has been performed revealing carbon encapsulation, sintering and phase changes in the active materials.
