pH/near infrared dual-triggered drug delivery system based black phosphorus nanosheets for targeted cancer chemo-photothermal therapy.

•A self-made method was constructed to prepare black phosphorus nanosheets (BP NSs).•The targeted system exhibited pH/NIR laser dual-triggered release performance in vitro.•The resulted formulation displayed better photothermal and targeted abilities in mice.•The synergistic therapy showed significant tumor inhibition over the single treatment.
