Diagnosis and management of cracked tooth by quantitative light-induced fluorescence technology

•Diagnosis of a cracked tooth is difficult because it is caused by diverse factors and its symptoms vary depending on crack depths.•QLF technology is a useful for detection and treatment planning for a cracked tooth.•Based on fluorescence properties with QLF, it is possible to evaluate objectively the progression of a tooth crack in real-time.
