摘要
An 80-year-old woman arrived to the emergency department with inflammatory signs, lesions with necrotic borders in the vulvar, vaginal, perineal, and lower gluteal regions (Figure 1), and clinical signs of hypoperfusion. Laboratory tests showed multisystem compromise. Histology plates showed ulcerated and necrotic areas, associated with parasitic structures consistent with amebic trophozoites and erythrophagocytosis (Figure 2). Fournier necrosis associated with extraintestinal amoebiasis was diagnosed. She required management with linezolid, meropenem, and fluconazole. She also required debridement and total vulvectomy with negative pressure wound therapy and flap reconstruction. Figure 2 View Large Image Figure Viewer Download Hi-res image
