Influence of reversal of neuromuscular blockade with sugammadex or neostigmine on postoperative quality of recovery following a single bolus dose of rocuronium: A prospective, randomized, double-blinded, controlled study.

•Reversal of neuromuscular blockade was performed with sugammadex and neostigmine.•Recovery quality after pars plana vitrectomy under general anesthesia was assessed.•The recovery rate in physiological domain was higher for sugammadex.•Sugammadex may improve the quality of early postoperative physiological recovery.
