The natural course of pain in patients with symptomatic tarsal coalitions: A retrospective clinical study.

•Tarsal coalitions are defined as abnormal fusions of two or more tarsal bones.•Foot pain is the main symptom of tarsal coalitions, and relief of pain is the mainstay of treatment.•Non-operative treatment is chosen as the first-line treatment for a minimum of 6 months.•For selected cases, early surgery may be preferred as conservative treatment mostly fails.
