Plasma Tnf-Alpha Is Associated With Stressful Life Events In Youth With Bipolar Disorder

Immune dysfunction (with associated elevation in levels of inflammatory cytokines) has been implicated in Pediatric Bipolar Disorder (PBD). Early life stress has also been associated with elevated levels of proinflammatory cytokines. In the present study we evaluated the association of stressful life events and TNF-α in youths with Bipolar Spectrum Disorders (BSD).
