Simulation of steady-state rolling non-pneumatic mechanical elastic wheel using finite element method.

•Steady-state transport technology is applied to simulate the steady-state rolling of a novel non-pneumatic tire.•A three-dimensional finite element model incorporating material's nonlinear response is established.•The non-pneumatic tire named mechanical elastic wheel improves the wear resistance of tires.
