Enzyme pre-treatment of soybean meal: Effects on non-starch carbohydrates, protein, phytic acid, and saponin biotransformation and digestibility in mink (Neovison vison)

•Enzymes from Aspergillus niger can be used to hydrolyse soybean meal.•Inositol-6-phosphate reduced by 84%.•Soybean meal saponin content affected by enzymatic hydrolysis.•Heat treatment of the soybean meal improved protein and AA digestibility in mink.
