Innovative 3D pixal mapping method for LED holoscopic 3D display

LED displays become integral part of today's wall size screens and autostereoscopic 3D display offers 3D viewing without glasses. In particular, holoscopic 3D (H3D) display is a promising candidate that has no minimum and maximum viewing range as well as there is no confusion zone as a true 3D scene is reconstructed in space optically. There is a huge demand for wall size autostereoscopic 3D display in both entertainment and advertisement sectors. Previously, 3D pixel mapping methods are applied to LCD based 3D display to remap 3D pixel for enhancing 3D resolution. In this paper, an innovative 3D pixel mapping method is proposed for improving holoscopic 3D resolution in LED displays.
