Isolation and biochemical characterisation of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory peptides derived from the enzymatic hydrolysis of cupuassu seed protein isolate

•ACE inhibitory peptides from hydrolysed cupuassu seed proteins were investigated.•Eight ACE inhibitory peptides were MS sequenced, yielding five novel sequences.•Cupuassu cryptides may contribute to the use of a raw material from Amazonia.
