•Synthesis of fully-renewable multiblock copolymers containing poly(lactide) and fatty acid dimer-based polyol.•Telechelic poly(lactide) oligomers coupled with commercially available bio-based polyols by means of diisocyanate.•Crystallizable poly(lactide) sequences covalently linked with amorphous polyol segments.•Tuning of hydrophobicity of the resulting polymers via the content of fatty acid-derived polyol.•Sterecomplexation between blends of oppositely configured l- and d-poly(lactide) multiblocks copolymers.
