Effect of Spores of Ganoderma lucidum on Survival Time and Peripheral Blood Cell of Implanted Tumor Rabbit

Objective To study the effect of spores of Ganoderma lucidum on survival time and peripheral blood cell of implanted tumor rabbit.MethodsThe rabbits with transplantable VX2 carcinoma were randomly divided into spores of Ganoderma Lucidum treatment group(10 cases)and control group(10 cases).Survival rate curves were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method.Difference between survival rate curves was tested by Log Rank test and the changes of Peripheral blood cell were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe survival rate and median survival time in treatment group and the control group were 60%,70day and 20%,43day respectively.There was a significant difference in survival curves.Rabbits were died from distant metastasis.The treatment course lasted 4weeks.The leukocyte count(WBC)of animals in treatment group were(17.45×109/L±5.74×109/L),which was significantly more than that in control group(11.20×109/L±2.81×109/L).There has no marked changes in hemoglobin(Hb)and platelet(PLT)(P0.05).ConclusionSpores of Ganoderma Lucidum can prolong the animals' survival time and inerease leukocyte count(WBC).
