摘要
Flexible pavement condition assessment modelling is an important component, which includes different activities, including estimating current and the future pavement condition scenarios, to decide optimum allocation of natural resources. A Delphi survey was carried out among experienced professional engineers for establishing a pair-wise comparison matrix among the performance indicator/surface defects based on 0-5 scale. In this study, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is proposed to predict the pavement condition assessment and prioritisation of pavement segments. As performance indicators are themselves subjective, AHP provides a rational methodological framework to break down the hierarchical structure of influencing performance indicators. It is used to determine the weight of the different identified performance indicators. The segment prioritised index is developed using weight of performance indicators and rating of performance indicators. This model becomes quite convenient to gauge the magnitude of each risk/failure factor responsible for the possibility of distress in road segments.
