摘要

•Enhanced 2,4-DCBA dechlorination with low intermediate products was achieved.•2,4-DCBA removal by moveable Pd/AC was 5–194 folds faster than fixed catalysts.•High Pd loading, current, and acidity favored the dechlorination of 2,4-DCBA.•Excessive electrolyte inhibited the dechlorination of 2,4-DCBA.•Good longevity and recyclability of moveable Pd/AC catalyst was confirmed.
