Optimization of influence factors for water cooling of high temperature plate by accelerated control cooling process

•Accelerated control cooling process is applied for optimization of influence factors for water cooling.•The cooling efficiency is calculated to optimize the plate speed and plate width.•SCT and FCT are optimized by comparing the specific heat of standard references.•The accuracy of the predicted FCT and the stability are significantly improved by the optimization.
