Effects of cafeteria diet on memory and hippocampal oxidative stress in a rat model of Alzheimer-like disease: Neuroprotection of green tea supplementation

•CAF diet did not influence long-term memory after Aβ injection in the hippocampus.•CAF diet reduces oxidative stress and improves antioxidant status in the hippocampus.•Green tea preserves short and long-term memories in a rat model of AD-like disease.•CAF diet combined with green tea has better effects on memory than only green tea.
