Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Raman (FT-Raman) spectra of the nickel(II) complex of 2-aminonicotinaldehyde (Ni(II)CANA) have been recorded and analyzed. The experimental work has been complemented by density functional theory (DFT) computations.
