摘要
•A new monoterpoind based chemosensor 1 was developed for the detection of Mg2+ and Zn2+.•Receptor 1 shows turn-on fluorescence upon addition of Mg2+ and Zn2+.•Receptor 1 exhibits good selectivity, reversibility and lower detection limit.•Receptor 1 was successfully utilized for in-vitro detection of Mg2+ and Zn2+ in live L929 cells.
