摘要

•The coupled map lattice model is extended by replacing scalar nodal variables by matrix variables.•Necessary conditions for the occurrence of the effect of explosive divergence are derived.•Fractal patterns representing spatiotemporal divergence can be controlled by the coupling parameter between the nodes.
