摘要

•A low-cost, reproducible and sensitive SERS substrate fabrication technique is proposed.•The substrate has been obtained through gold coating on electrospun PVA nanofibers.•Using the proposed substrate reliable detection of some Raman active samples has been demonstrated.•Field applicability of the designed substrate for Raman signal sensing of some pesticides has been demonstrated.
