Honeycomb tubular biochar from fargesia leaves as an effective adsorbent for tetracyclines pollutants

•The honeycomb tubular biochar (HT-B) was synthesized from fargesia leaves.•HT-B was used for the treatment of effluent containing tetracyclines pollutants.•HT-B synthesis conditions were optimized to obtain high removal efficiency.•The effect of the environmental factors on the targets removal efficiency was studied.•Ageing studies were performed to confirm the stability of HT-B.
