摘要
•The load combinations, criteria levels and the service limits have been defined, and the failure modes have also been verified.•The elastic assessment, including plastic collapse and local failure and ratcheting, has been carried out according to the specified criteria.•On the basis of the requirements in the ASME BPV Code, nonlinear buckling analysis has been performed.•The current design is acceptable and it can be further optimized by an effective mechanism.
