摘要

•Magnetic moment of the Ima2 phase of BiFe0.5Sc0.5O3 is sensitive to uniaxial pressure.•A wide cusp-like anomaly of the magnetic susceptibility is observed below 200K.•The initial magnetization is fitted as a sum of nonlinear and linear contributions.•The nonlinear contribution is dependent on both temperature and magnetic field.•An algorithm to minimize unwanted residual fields in the solenoid has been developed.
