A model to predict the ablation width and calculate the ablation threshold of femtosecond laser

Femtosecond laser with different scanning speeds processed SUS 301 stainless steel. A new model is built to predict the width of ablated channel and calculated the ablation threshold of the target. The calculated results which are calculated by the model approximates the experimental results. The error is so small that it can be ignored. The model can be used to predict the width of ablated channel and calculate the ablation threshold at other scanning speeds.
