摘要
•The nun moth has expanded its range northwards by about 200 km in 20 years.•At the same time, this forest pest has also become more abundant in Finland.•Less severe winter colds may have facilitated winter survival of nun moth eggs.•Potential future forest damage can still be mitigated with appropriate management.
