摘要
The main purposes of this paper consist of two parts. First, the geometric topology of novel modular spoke-type permanent-magnet (MSTPM) machines with two different magnetization modes is introduced. Second, based on the magnetic field modulation (MFM) analysis and finite-element (FE) method, the influence of magnetization mode on MSTPM machines is investigated with respect to the field harmonic, combination of stator slots and rotor poles, back electromotive force, and eletromagnetic torque. A prototype machine is manufactured and tested to verify the MFM and FE predicted results.
