Structural and morphological aspects of small 3,5-disubstituted isoxazoles

•Single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses for fluorinated isoxazoles/isoxazolines were resolved.•The molecular modeling of the isoxazoles showed that it exists in different conformers.•The nature of the aryl group modifies the intermolecular interactions and consequently modifies the texture observed by POM.•Position of the perfluorinated benzene ring has a great impact in the molecular arrangement and in the thermal properties.
