A Pyrone-based Ratiometric Probe for Galactosidase with Dramatic Color and Fluorescence Changes: Ratiometric Probe for Galactosidase

A simple pyrone-based fluorophore was designed for ratiometric detection of beta-galactosidase. Upon reaction with the enzyme, the probe underwent a dramatic ratiometric optical change and exhibited dramatic color and fluorescence changes capable of quantitative detection of beta-galactosidase.
