摘要
•Barium Tungstate (BaWO4) nanorods were prepared by modified hydrothermal technique using Na2WO4. 2H2O and Ba(NO3)2 as source materialsg.•BaWO4 nanorods exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity against the complete degradation of crystal violet dye within one hour at pH of 12.•Cyclic voltammetry was used to assess the potential of BaWO4 nanorods for the electrochemical detection of glucose and ascorbic acid.
