摘要
Patients with severe lung diseases referred to lung transplantation have a very bad prognosis. Right heart catheterization (RHC) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) remain a part of patient evaluation for LT, especially for the assessment of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Transthoracic echocardiography provides additional information on right and left ventricular structure and function. The aim of the present study was to evaluate whether some basic echocardiographic parameters describing the right ventricle have an impact on survival in patients with severe lung disease referred to LT.
