Preparation and cure kinetics of epoxy with nanodiamond modified with liquid crystalline epoxy

•Nanodiamond has a significant promotion effect on curing reaction of epoxy resin.•The activation energy values decrease with nanodiamonds-filled into epoxy resin.•The epoxy filled with liquid crystalline epoxy modified nanodiamond exhibits lower activation energy.•The excess nanodiamond leads to higher activation energy.
