摘要
In the recent years, the improvement in Internet coverage, speed and a decrease in service cost have made it accessible for the common masses. The Internet which was once used only for reading text or viewing basic images is now witnessing a marked surge in the audio-visual content as well as traffic. Cloud based Content Delivery Network accelerate content delivery for websites and applications as they are served from cloud storage. Cloud CDN (CCDN) lowers network latency, offloads origin, and reduces service costs. In this paper, we propose a 2-tier structure for video streaming, one which uses CCDN and priority based round robin scheduling algorithm and the 2 nd which creates a dedicated Peer to Peer network for each video and uses chunk based distribution with videos hashed using DHT. The scheduling algorithm in the 1 st tier of our proposed structure efficiently balances load of the central node and the P2P network, along with DHT in the 2 nd tier provide for efficient distribution of chunks of videos, reducing the buffer time.
