VOCs reduction and inhibition mechanisms of using active carbon filler in bituminous materials

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are harmful to atmospheric environment and human health, will volatilize from bituminous binder in the process of production, transportation and construction. Many inhibitors were applied to reduce the VOCs emissions for designing environment friendly bituminous material.
