摘要
•Edible Rhynchophorus phoenicis larvae were collected from three growing conditions.•Larvae from the wild had greater length, weight and lipid content than bred larvae.•Yellow morphotype contained more lipids, carotenoids and energy than White one.•Protein content and amino acid composition of larvae were similar for all groups.•Palm weevil larvae are source of lipids, proteins and indispensable amino acids.
