Click-based transparent durable films derived from tetrabrachius PDMS-bridged epoxy acrylates and surface modified nanosilica particles

A novel tetra-arm epoxy acrylate (EAAE-PDMS) was designed and employed as a precursor to afford high performance hybrid films. A successful surface modification on both inorganic and organic components as well as their strong covalent bonding crosslinking lead to a suitable compatibility and adhesion of organic matrix with the inorganic fillers, hence significantly improves surface mechanical properties.
