U-Pb zircon dating, geochemistry and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic ratios from Azna-Dorud Cadomian metagranites, Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone of western Iran

•U–Pb zircon geochronology indicate that crystallization age of the metagranites is Early Cambrian.•The rocks are interpreted as having a Cadomian granite protolith with sodic A2-type nature.•The metagranites from the Azna-Dorud region are formed in a post-collisional tectonic setting.•The Cadomian rocks were produced by partial melting of a metabasite which had its source in an enriched metasomatic mantle.
