An Attack Strategy based on Hyperbolic Coordinates

In this paper, from the view of community structure and information flow, a new attack strategy NCLIC is proposed based on hyperbolic coordinates in the complex network. Firstly, a centrality index LIC is introduced in the hyperbolic coordinates which can reflect the amount of information flow of a node, and the performance of LIC is analyzed under different hyperbolic mapping methods. Then some nodes in the network are named " bridge node" which play an important role in the community structure of network. Based on the LIC and the bridge node, a new attack strategy NCLIC is proposed. To verify that the NCLIC can significantly decompose a network, it has been compared with other existing attack strategies. In the experiments, and it has been found that the attack effects of NCLIC is better than others when the destroyed nodes reach to a certain amount, especially for networks with obvious community structure.
