摘要

•Biopolymer guar gum was used for removal of Pb2+ from wastewater.•Coagulation/flocculation treatment was used for wastewater treatment.•The performance of biopolymer was compared with alum.•Guar gum removed 83%Pb2+ at flocculent dose of 1.25mgL−1 and pH 5.•FTIR indicates physiochemical interaction between guar gum and Pb2+.
