Effect of the blend ratio on the shape memory and self-healing behaviour of ionomer-polycyclooctene crosslinked polymer blends

•The effect of the blend ratio of a SMP and a SH polymer is studied.•Specific blending ratios lead to self-healable shape memory polymers.•Both dual and triple shape memory behaviour are observed.•A near to 100% stiffness recovery after healing of crosscuts is shown.•The relation between terminal relaxation and self-healing in blends is shown.
