The life, career, and technical accomplishments of Professor Ronold W. P. King are chronicled. His academic tenure at Harvard University spanned all or parts of eight decades, and his legacy is perhaps best defined by the fundamental nature of his research, his exceptional insight into the physics of problems in applied electromagnetics, and his mentorship of over 100 Ph.D. students.
